English term or phrase: external profile (of a country)
Bonjour,

"There is now strong evidence of a deterioration of India's external profile. The net international investment position has moved into negative territory at the end of 2009, implying that the stock of foreign liabilities oupaces foreign assets."

Merci pour vos remarques et suggestions :)

attractivité
Explanation:

The revision of our outlook on India to negative reflects mild erosion in India's external and fiscal profiles and lower GDP growth prospects [...] India's external profile has worsened modestly in recent times. Its foreign currency reserves cover around six months of current account payments

Even the Philippines, with its weak fiscal metrics, should see the sovereign outlook move to ‘positive’ from ‘stable’ to highlight strengthening external profile resulting from diminished dependency on foreign borrowings

Nine years later, the country's external profile is much more robust. A profound transformation has taken place in recent years as foreign exchange is hardly a constraint anymore for the Indian economy. Till the 1990s, this was a major constraint and India had to look abroad for aid, for IMF support and high cost commercial borrowings to get the necessary foreign exchange
