German term
Mischwasserkanal
German to English
Tech/Engineering
Construction / Civil Engineering
context: Dresdner Stadtentwässerung
Unfortunately, I don't even have a complete sentence. First there is a brief description of the successful (and first-of-its-kind) repair made to the bottom of the Dükerrohr.
Then this follows:
Further in the document, there is this:
Thanks very much for your help!

combined sewage
This is a water system that handles both sewage and rainwater.

The older portions of the Bremerton sewer system were constructed as combined sewers (sewers that collect both stormwater and wastewater) which was a common and accepted practice at the time. The sewers originally discharged to the receiving waters without treatment and consequently there was no need to construct separate systems. Thankfully the practice of constructing combined sewers has been prohibited for many years. The current sewer construction practice is to install separate sanitary and storm sewers

Comment: "This was hard to grade, since you both gave me the right answer. If I read the incoming times correctly, I think Kim added his note using sewer before Trudy posted her reply.
Sorry, Trudy! But thanks very much to you both for your help!"
