French to English Marketing Advertising / Public Relations
This term, in a marketing document, is no doubt available in specialized dictionnaries somewhere. I do not have access to any, however, and I simply can't find the translation online! Can anyone help, please? The term is in a document selling the benefits to clients of using a website (for holiday offers, as it happens) as a forum to advertize their offers and hence reach the right target audience. What is the specific meaning of 'cible qualifiée', please?

I would say that the context I have provided (limited because limited it is!) is sufficient to come up with the right solution to this question. agree with colleagues an isolated Fr term and just a lot of words in English doesn't show anyone what the actual context is. it's vital to see at least 1 Fr sentence to see exactly how the term is being used. otherwise it's anyone's guess.

Context As philgoddard says, linguistic context in French is necessary if you want people to do more than guess at this; an explanation in English is useful, but no subsitute.

I think that "qualifiée" hear means "spécifiée" in the sense that the target is well-defined (we know who we are targeting).

qualified leads are basically those that we have some information on (information possibly passed on or bought from other companies or websites) that will actually have some potential interest in buying something, not just visit the site by accident
i.e. a potential purvchaser

leads, rather than audience is the correct word in Marketing in my opinion. Context always helps though.
