French term
cible qualifiée
French to English
Marketing
Advertising / Public Relations
This term, in a marketing document, is no doubt available in specialized dictionnaries somewhere. I do not have access to any, however, and I simply can't find the translation online! Can anyone help, please? The term is in a document selling the benefits to clients of using a website (for holiday offers, as it happens) as a forum to advertize their offers and hence reach the right target audience. What is the specific meaning of 'cible qualifiée', please?

specific/specified target
Hello,
I think that "qualifiée" hear means "spécifiée" in the sense that the target is well-defined (we know who we are targeting).

target audience
with the additional context, i'd venture with this - "reach the target/targeted audience"

leads, rather than audience is the correct word in Marketing in my opinion. Context always helps though.

Note from asker:
Thanks for the ideas so far. Unfortunately, I don't have much context to give you (voilà mon problème!). The term is on the first page of a website advertisement and stands alone: "Se Rendre visible sur une cible qualifiée". The title of the document is "Communiquer sur X.com" (X being the name of the company, which I do not give here in order to respect the client's wish for confidentiality for a marketing campaign that has not yet been launched) |

: agree with philgoddard. it's impossible to be so certain. this doesn't follow the Fr in any case.
