Engineers at the California firm are fixing a weakness pointed out by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). "Apple takes security very seriously," Apple spokeswoman Trudy Muller said. "We are aware of this reported issue and developing a fix that will be available in an upcoming software update," she said. BSI warned this week of a flaw that would let hackers infiltrate Apple mobile devices by duping users into opening PDF document files booby-trapped with malicious computer code. Although no attacks have been observed, hackers are likely to try to exploit the weakness, according to a posting on the agency's website. Possible "attack scenarios for cyber-criminals" include accessing passwords, email messages, contact lists, or built-in cameras and eavesdropping on phone conversations or getting location information, according to BSI.

Inżynierowie przedsiębiorstwa z Kalifornii naprawiają usterkę, na którą zwróciło uwagę Federalne Biuro Bezpieczeństwa Informacji z Niemiec (BSI). „Apple bardzo poważnie podchodzi do kwestii zabezpieczeń”, stwierdziła Trudy Muller, rzeczniczka producenta. „Zdajemy sobie sprawę ze wskazanego problemu i pracujemy właśnie nad rozwiązaniem, które udostępnimy w najbliższej aktualizacji oprogramowania”, dodała. W tym tygodniu BSI ostrzegło o wadzie, która mogłaby pozwolić hakerom na infiltrację urządzeń mobilnych Apple, jeśli udałoby im się nakłonić niczego nieświadomego użytkownika do otworzenia pliku PDF zainfekowanego złośliwym kodem. Choć nie zaobserwowano do tej pory żadnych ataków, to - według informacji zamieszczonych na stronie internetowej Biura - można przypuszczać, że hakerzy będą chcieli skorzystać z nadarzającej się okazji. Istanza di avvio del procedimento di valutazione di impatto ambientale presso la Regione Sicilia relativamente ad una Centrale Solare Termodinamica a Concentrazione di potenza pari a 12 MW e relative opere connesse ed infrastrutturali da ubicare nel Comune di Gela (CL)
La società Reflex Solar Power S.r.l. con sede legale a Gela, via Paci 143 informa:
A) di aver depositato, presso la Regione Sicilia, quale autorità competente, e presso la Provincia, il Comune e tutti gli enti interessati, ai sensi del D. Lgs 4/2008, istanza di valutazione di impatto ambientale relativa al progetto per la realizzazione di una Centrale Solare Termodinamica a Concentrazione da 12 MW elettrici e delle relative opere connesse ed infrastrutturali, da ubicare nel Comune di Gela;
B) che, ai sensi dell’Art. 2 del D.M. 11 Aprile 2008, per Impianto Solare Termodinamico si intende un impianto termoelettrico in cui il calore utilizzato per il ciclo termodinamico è prodotto sfruttando l’energia solare come sorgente di calore ad alta temperatura;
C) che, ai sensi dell’art. 2 del D. Lgs. 387/2003, la fonte solare è da intendersi una fonte rinnovabile;
D) che alla predetta istanza sono stati allegati, ai sensi dell’Art. 23 del D. Lgs. 4/2008, il Progetto definitivo dell’opera, lo Studio di Impatto Ambientale (di seguito “SIA”), il Progetto Architettonico e tutta la documentazione necessaria al rilascio della Valutazione di Impatto Ambientale (di seguito VIA);

Application to commence proceedings concerning the environmental impact assessment in the Region of Sicily with regard to a Thermodynamic Solar Power Plant with a capacity of 12 MW and the pertinent associated and infrastructural works to be carried out in the Commune of Gela (Caltanissetta province, CL).
The company Reflex Solar Power S.r.l. seated in Gela, via Paci 143, hereby reports:
A) pursuant to the provisions of the Legislative Decree 4/2008, it has applied - in the Commune, the Province, and the Region of Sicily - to the competent authorities and all the interested parties for the environmental impact assessment regarding a project consisting in the establishment of a Thermodynamic Solar Power Plant with a capacity of 12 MW and the execution of the pertinent associated and infrastructural works in the Commune of Gela;
B) pursuant to art. 2 of the Ministerial Decree dated 11 April 2008, the Thermodynamic Solar Facility should be understood as a thermodynamic facility in which the heat utilized in the thermodynamic cycle originates from the solar energy serving as the source of the heat and high temperature;
C) pursuant to art. 2 of the Legislative Decree 387/2003, the solar energy should be deemed a renewable energy resource;
D) pursuant to art. 23 of the Legislative Decree 4/2008, the documents attached to the aforementioned application are as follows: the Final Project of Works, the Environmental Impact Study (hereinafter “SIA”), the Architectural Project, and all the other documentation needed for the issuance of the Environmental Impact Assessment (hereinafter “VIA”);
