He shook his head and continued to walk in the direction of the armoured juggernaut which he wasn't supposed to take out of the compound without clearance. He would have preferred the jeep - open-aired and therefore less of a challenge to men with guns - but he didn't want to commandeer the only vehicle available to the TCNs. Though around here, he didn't know where they might want to drive to. Perhaps "away" was destination enough, he considered, as he drove the Humvee out with a roar into the dusty plains of Afghanistan.

Juggernaut w kontekstach motoryzacyjnych znalazłam jedynie jako "wielka ciężarówka", no ale ten Humvee to jednak SUV. Czy nie dam jakiejś plamy, jeśli napiszę po prostu "uzbrojony potwór"?

Explanation:
raczej nic z ciężarówką, nie chodzi też o krążownik. Zrobiłbym raczej jednak opancerzony, a nie uzbrojony, bo z uzbrojeniem to w HMMWV raczej słabo, nawet jak ma opcjonalną wieżyczkę z M2

Explanation:
Humvee jest pojazdem stosunkowo niedużym, więc "bestia" wydaje się nieco łagodniejsza niż "potwór". Choć brzydki, nie jest aż też aż tak niezbgrabny i dlatego "bestia", a nie "monstrum".
