It definitely works! I am getting ready for my second marathon and above all, getting used to "prolonged effort".......................such as TRANSLATING very long files))

I find work relaxing. I only get stressed when I haven't got any translations to do.

Essential Relaxation | Jan 31, 2010 |
I do sports to relax: I mainly play golf and over the winter do aquajogging and power walking while waiting for the snow to clear. I took up golf a while ago as a remedy for migraines. Yes, it worked and it still does - no explanation as to why. Simply clears the cobwebs. Regards, Catriona Thomas
I really enjoy running too - I always get a huge endorphin rush after a good run and any stress drops away. @Catriona: Aquajogging! Sounds interesting. Is it like jogging but in a pool? Guy, hyperlingo.com

Don't let a day of translating stress you out. I've done a few more stressful things If it still is getting to you, try wearing a bathrobe while translating, drink a lot of tea and listen to appropriate music.

[Edited at 2010-01-31 10:46 GMT] I am totally with you! And if I need to move, I prefer slow moves of tai chi. What else? If I have time, I go for a day or two to the mountains.

I get very nervous when I have a day off! That can't be very healthy tho... So, I will: - write - read - play music/listen to music - meet a friend for a cup of coffee - go to a museum - go to the cinema I find the last option the most rewarding to unwind.
