"strike-through" vote Explanation: EN AUSTRALIA: The “strike-through” and the traceable vote: two changes to Chapman’s ballot “elector shall in the compartment or ballot room provided for the purpose strike out the names of such candidates as he does not intend to vote for …” Tasmania picked this up, and its 1856 Act (clause 63) instructed the voter to “strike through in ink the name or names of such candidate or candidates for whom he does not intend to vote”. And South Australia’s 1856 legislation (clause 29) similarly dictated that the elector was to “obliterate the name of the Candidate or Candidates for whom he does not intend to vote” Reference: http://www.enrollingthepeople.com/my_papers/draft_paper_on_b... |

cross-out style Explanation: Parece que es una manera de votación, encontré esto... "in an election process involving a constitutional referendum that utilized an archaic negative cross-out style of voting, and candidate elections for two legislative chambers involving both an affirmative one-candidate and a two-candidate voting choice, it is understandable how Russian voters might have been somewhat confused and discouraged by their task." -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 hr 18 mins (2005-11-30 14:47:02 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- http://www.fairvote.org/reports/1993/dahl.html |
