Ich verstehe darunter einen "comprensorio residenziale". Diese können auch umzäunt sein (in meinem Fall leider nicht)

Meiner Meinung nach muss das ganze umschrieben werden.
Zwei Vorschläge:
Die aus 4 Gebäuden bestehende Wohnanlage liegt .......
Die geschlossen Wohnanlage besteht aus 4 Gebäuden ...

Secondo le informazioni di un architetto italiano, i comprensori residenziali sono dei nuclei abitativi con lo stesso numero civico, generalmente differenziati tra loro da numeri o lettere (ad esempio: Via xx n° 170 palazzina A, B, C)
Un complesso residenziale è invece un insieme di edifici, ognuno con un numero civico proprio.

neutral  Christel Zipfel: Das Problem liegt wohl darin, dass diese wörtliche Übersetzung kein Mensch verstehen würde.

  -> Nicht mehr oder weniger als auf Italienisch.
neutral  tmscherz: google mal "nucleo privato" und dann "privater kern". ersteres findest du im städtebaulichen kontext, den deutschen "privaten kern" nicht. ich denke auch, dass die wörtliche übersetzung nicht verständlich ist.

  -> In Rom werden diese Anlagen comprensorio residenziale genannt. Es kann sich hierbei natürlich auch um eine römische Bezeichnung handeln
