It does all very much depend on context, and perhaps more particularly, on just how accurately this director is using the word 'screen'; normally, it means a literal, physical projection screen; but it seems unlikely that this particular film would require unique, specific projection facilities — depends, of course, what its destined distribution is.<br><br>Sometimes, when people talk about 'screen', they mean it loosely, in the sense of 'image area' — which seems much more likely here; but in that case, I would imagine 'one above the other' rather than actually 'superimposed' (in the latter sense, I'd have expected the person to say 'images superposées'). So you see why more context is needed to be sure just what is being referred to here.
