I am working on a translation of a book and I am having kind of a hard time trying to express this sentence the right way.
How much more God longs to have and to hold you closer to Him. The love of God and our response is the unfolding drama and purpose of life itself.
Would you be able to help me a bit

I've been thinking about this for awhile--it's a tough one! I like your translation of the sentence. The only idea that comes to mind is to use "perpetua historia humana" instead of "de la humanidad" in order to personalize it a little more--the unfolding drama of each and every human. Good luck!.
