I am inclined to think that 'fil rouge' refers to the entertainment and not the fact that it's motorbike-related. What about 'gripping entertainment guaranteed throughout the day'?

In wiktionary they talk about 'fil rouge' having an 'aspect récurrent', I think 'throughout' gives has a similar meaning.

agree  philgoddard: I think programs could mean lots of things (including radio programs), so I'd go for entertainment.
