sélection de composant Explanation: In the absence of wider context, this seems to be what they are talking about here. You could also use 'choix', of course, but personally I think 'sélection' works marginaly better in this instance. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 2 jours3 heures (2017-09-23 10:01:58 GMT) Post-grading -------------------------------------------------- Each choice involves picking ONE SINGLE component from the set of all possible ones; although in FR a substantif used to qualify another will usually be pliural whereas it is singular in EN, I think this is one instance where that may not (necessarily) be the case — depending on exactly how it is used: IF this were to be the heading for a window in which components are selected, then yes 'sélection de composants' would be required. HOWEVER, in at least one of Asker's instances, it seems to be being used in a different way, effectively saying 'this is the component that has been chosen'; in that particular instance, I think the singular would be required, EVEN in FR. Hence 2 different solutions may be required, depending on how/where it is being used. |
