Tekst źródłowy - polski Maszyny do robót ziemnych są w szczególny sposób narażone na obciążenia wynikające z sytuacji wypadkowej związanej bądź to z wywróceniem maszyny lub uderzeniem wywołanym spadającymi przedmiotami. Struktury chroniące operatora maszyny podczas wywrócenia są elementem obligatoryjnie stosowanymi. Zarówno w maszynach budowlanych, jak i górniczych a także innych, w których charakter pracy jest związany z możliwością wywrócenia się stoku bądź to na nierównościach terenu. Ich najważniejszym zadaniem jest ochrona przestrzeni życiowej, w której znajduje się operator, zdefiniowanej za pomocą makiety DLV (ang. Deflection Limiting Volume) [2]. Ustrój nośny kabiny podczas sytuacji wypadkowej, oprócz ochrony przestrzeni życiowej, ma zapewnić przenoszenie sił związanych z wywróceniem się maszyny oraz pochłonąć określoną energię. Ustawodawca przewiduje wykonanie trzech prób wytrzymałościowych w następującej po sobie kolejności: obciążenie siłą boczną (symulujące wywrócenie się maszyny na bok), obciążenie siłą pionową (zgniatanie kabiny wywołane przez wywrócenie się maszyny na dach), oraz obciążenie siła wzdłużną (symulujące wjechanie przodem lub tyłem maszyny w przestrzeń o obniżonej wysokości – mniejszej niż wysokość maszyny). W przypadku obciążenia bocznego oprócz przeniesienia wymaganej siły, warunkiem koniecznym, który musi zostać spełniony, jest pochłonięcie określonej energii. Warunek jest ten szczególnie trudny do spełnienia, ponieważ wymaga od projektanta dużego doświadczenia w projektowaniu tego typu obiektów i spełnienia dwóch przeciwnych warunków. Jest to zagadnienie trudne, a w przypadku złożonych struktur wręcz niemożliwe. Konstrukcja chroniąca musi być na tyle sztywna, aby przenieść obciążenie siłą boczną i jednocześnie podatna na tyle, aby pochłonąć energię [1]. W górnictwie podziemnym surowców mineralnych oraz w pracach tunelowych związanych z budową dróg stosowane są w procesie wydobywczym maszyny kołowe służące do wiercenia otworów strzałowych oraz kotwienia. Struktura tego typu maszyn jest do siebie podobna i najczęściej składa się z ciągnika połączonego przegubowo z platformą przednią, na której znajdują się zamocowane: konstrukcja chroniąca oraz wysięgniki z masztami wiertniczymi lub wieżyczkami kotwiącymi (rys.1)
Tłumaczenie pisemne - angielski Earthmoving machines are particularly prone to loads resulting from accidents such as rollovers or hits by falling objects. Structures which protect the machine operator during rollovers are mandatory. Machines used both in construction and mining, and other machines are subject to the possibility of rollover on a slope or uneven surface. In such vehicles the most important function of those structures is to protect the operator's residual space, defined by the DLV model (Deflection Limiting Volume) [2]. In an accident scenario, the structure of the cabin, apart from protecting the operator, should transmit the forces connected with machine rollover and absorb a certain amount of energy. Three strength tests are legally required in the following order: lateral force load (simulation of machine rolling over to the side), vertical force load (crushing of the cabin caused by machine rolling over on its roof), and longitudinal force load (simulation of machine driving or reversing into area with lower height than the height of the machine). In the case of lateral load, apart from transmitting the required force, the sine qua non is the absorption of energy. This condition is extremely challenging as the designer needs to have extensive experience in designing such units and he must satisfy two opposing conditions. This is a very difficult problem and in the case of advanced structures it is virtually impossible to solve. The protection structure must be sufficiently stiff to transmit the lateral force and simultaneously flexible enough to absorb energy [1]. In mineral mining and road tunneling wheel machines are used in the excavation process for drilling blasting holes and bolting. Such machines have a similar structure and are usually composed of a tractor pivotally connected to a front platform, on which the protection structure and booms with drilling masts or bolting rigs are mounted (Figure 1).

Bio
I was brought up in a family of linguists and IT professionals so language, vocabulary, and grammar have been my daily bread for almost my entire life. As a child I attended Wildwood School in Amherst, Massachusetts (1986-88) for 2 years where, through immersion, I almost instantly absorbed the English language. When I returned to Poland, my classmates would laugh at my Polish. This bilingual experience has given me a near-native command of English and propelled me into an extraordinary adventure into the world of languages. After high school I decided to explore the domain of linguistics and expand my translation skills at university, where I studied linguistics and translation. Since 1996 I have done hundreds of different translations for many different institutions in a variety of fields: architecture, business, banking, education, technology, engineering, EU-legislation, marketing, correspondence and others. In contrast to most of my fellow translators, who had to learn English “the hard way” in an artificial school environment, translating and interpreting comes naturally to me and is a fun and creative task.
