EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

An experienced translator, I also hold the following diplomas:

1. Postgraduate Studies in Text Editing and Proofreading from the University of Warsaw
2. MA in Translation and Language Technology from Swansea University, completed with distinction (Russian and English)
3. BA in Translation and Interpreting of Specialist Texts from the University of Warsaw (Russian, English, and Polish)

I also studied at the Institute of Russian Studies at the University of Warsaw (2004-2006). After 2 years of studying, I decided to change my studies to translation.

Moreover, I lived 5 years in the UK where I studied, worked in the business, mastered the language, and got familiar with the British culture. I returned to Poland in 2013 to continue putting my language skills into good use and I visit the UK regularly.

I continue developing my skills by attending specialist courses (linguistic, communication, psychology, please see the CPD tab for more details).

INTERESTS

An avid reader, I read books from the fields of psychology, self-development, as well as travel, history, documentary, and fiction – so anything well-written and interesting! The ability to read in 4 languages (Polish, English, Russian, and Spanish, I'm currently mastering the latter) gives me an immense pleasure and allows me to deepen my knowledge of these languages.

I enjoy using my time actively and I run, cycle, and swim regularly. Holidays are best spent in the mountains.

I also love cooking, I’m experimenting with Thai and Indian cuisines lately, and I attend cooking classes as well to get some inspiration and widen my horizons.
