Bio
Translating and revising from EN to PL and back since 2006.
Studied UK and US English as a core subject in primary school, high school, and while majoring in Ethnolinguistics at the Faculty of Modern Languages and Literatures, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań (Poland), and have been using it in professional work for decades.
What do I do?
My business is EN-PL localization using CAT (computer-aided translation) tools. My added services include proofreading, PMTE (post-machine translation editing) and transcreation in different fields, both general and specialized. I work with freelance proofreaders and experts in DTP and OCR to have the job translated for you set for print if requested.
My localization fields
I have been localizing for 20 years, in different fields and for a diverse portfolio of clients: from individuals to large multinationals. They include true moguls in automotive, defense, shipbuilding, industrial automation and electrical engineering. I serve small and large publishing houses in Poland, known for acclaimed series of fiction and non-fiction literature, handbooks, and authors. I can tackle very different specializations, from public procurement for infrastructure projects to pulp fiction. I am an EN-PL subcontractor for large language solution providers who provide translation and interpretation, transcreation, UX and software localization, and expert work.

Technical: industry and engineering, industrial processing and technologies, automotive, aerospace, power and electrical engineering, civil, road and rail construction, shipbuilding, metal processing and working, NDT (non-destructive testing), chemical, industrial coatings, private/public procurement bid packages, specifications and contracts, technical standard, scientific and research work

Law and public administration: civil contracts, patent documents, Polish laws and regulations, private/public procurement contracts
Science: medical product/device documents, physiology, sports medicine, sports equipment and products...
...Now you see I can work on your e-mail for distant relatives living in Australia for decades just as easily as I can localize a package of manuals for a main battle tank, an imported power boat, or that Chinese e-bike.
Qualifications?
I have acquired CPE C2 ESOL International, with my proficiency certified by Cambridge English. I also work with sworn translators.
I am currently preparing for an ISO 17100 certification.
All data and translation processing is GDPR-compliant.
