English term or phrase: Sewage holding tank
Bonjour,

"After a breach of the hull, water-tight doors should have contained the water that flooded the generator room. But a ventilation pipe has been removed for repairs and that allows water to rush into ship’s sewage holding tank."

Explanation:
I don't know about liners, but certainly, in the yachting world, I've only ever seen these referred to be the EN term.

Note that in the nautical world, 'eaux noires / grises' are very commonly used for 'sewage' / 'other waste water'

neutral  Michael GREEN: Don't wish to be negative, Tony, but in my limited experience, the FR term quoted by Emilie is perfectly current. A web search will produce plenty, for yachting as well as merchant or inland vessels.
