Roberta Chaim (X) . I provide translation services for Smartling and it was a real surprise to have learned how to use this software so quickly. It is very simple, and yet it is so helpful.
I find my productivity a lot higher when I am using this tool. I believe it is because there is a good combination of resources such as "in context", glossary & terms and the division of the texts into short strings that makes it all turnaround so fast.
It is fun and easy! I strongly recommend it.

Prevodilac . Though I have been working as a translator and interpreter for 20+ years, I never used any CAT tools, so I was sceptical for a moment. Also, I am everything else but a computer geek. Nevertheless, the sytem turned out to be very easy and user friendly even for me, and I simply enjoy the few clicks I have to make. At the same time, I can still focus on the translation itself and completely forget that I am dealing with any "computer science". The first thing I thought was: This would be a promising market for both clients and translators in my country (Bosnia and Herzegovina)!

Nolwenn Gaudin . The tool is user-friendly, intuitive and easy to learn. It doesn't take very long to get used to it, and in case of doubts the support team is very helpful. As an online tool, unlike other translation tools that need to be installed on the computer, it is securely accessible from any computer with an internet connection, making it easy to use on the go.

Marie-Hélène . For a professional translator like me, working with the Smartling system is really great.
First, you don't have to go through a tedious and time-consuming training since this tool is very intuitive and you learn very quickly how to use all of its features.
Besides its user-friendliness, it is also a very efficient and powerful system which includes all the tools that are essential to a translator: glossary, translation guide, memory and in-context translation. Another useful feature is the Comments section which enables to ask questions and get quick answers to translation-related issues.
Moreover, you never lose time since you receive email notifications as soon as content is available for translation.
To sum up: a fantastic tool I would highly recommend!

Freja Gunell (X) . Knowing the context of the text you're translating is absolutely essential, yet translation interfaces that obscure the context have become depressingly common. Smartling, however, gets it right. Clients who use Smartling's translation system to the fullest degree give their translators the information needed to translate accurately by letting them see the visual context of the strings.
I first started working with Smartling in 2012 and have found them a pleasure to work with ever since. The translation tools support all the features I need to do a good job, such as a glossary and a TM. They're equally suited for editing, showing previous versions of strings and making it easy to flag potential issues. No less important is the excellent people involved - always ready to help out and answer questions. Communication is consistently swift, clear and friendly. All around it's a joy to work with Smartling.
