Re providing scanned copies of documents Jul 10, 2014

I don't think there are many circumstances that would justify sending a scan of one's passport. However, if I ever send anybody scans of any personal documents, I apply a large, semi-transparent "watermark" saying "Copy" diagonally across the scan.
