agree  Crannmer: To chodzi raczej o wymuszenie redukcji wybierakiem trybu jazdy (pozycja 4, 3, 2, L itp). W prostszych konstrukcjach redukcja nastąpi mimo ew. zbyt wysokiej prędkości. Natomiast kickdown nie zredukuje, jeśli prędkość będzie dla niższego biegu za wysoka.
