The fact is that grenades in question actually explode, and kicking them into the grenade sump to "minimize damage [to other soldiers] from the explosion" is most likely the last thing a soldier ever does before being sent sky high. Sad, but apparently true. I 've been told today by one of my students who used to be a platoon sergeant, that in Poland we do not have anything like that and the SOP is to try and throw a grenade back, so there is at least a remote chance that the soldier will survive. Looks to me that I will have to come up with some description. Thanks for help anyway. M |
