Elastyczność zmiennej zależnej y względem zmiennej x jest iloczynem pochodnej funkcji i stosunku zmiennej x do y, służy więc do mierzenia elastyczności w określonym punkcie (dla określonego x), a więc do badania reakcji zmiennej zależnej y na zmiany zmiennej niezależnej x przy założeniu, że inne czynniki są stałe i nie mają wpływu na zmienną y. Obliczona w ten sposób elastyczność nazywa się elastycznością punktową. Ponieważ jednak elastyczność jest funkcją, dla większości typów funkcji w każdym punkcie jest ona inna (z wyjątkiem funkcji izoelastycznej, którą jest funkcja podwójnie logarytmiczna: logy = logA + logx, gdzie: A - wyraz stały; y - elastyczność stała dla wszystkich punktów).

: A is not multiplied. A log of A is simply taken then added to log of x. There is nothing multiplicative about the MEANING of wyraz stały. We are not asked to operate on logarithms here

Discussion
It's used in http://people.duke.edu/~rnau/simpreg.htm#model2 for example This also suggests "scaling factor" which would be acceptable in more technical literature but maybe not so good here.

y = Ax
Still, A is a constant, and wyraz stały is a constant term, whether used as a multiplier, divisor, or an additive constant. Here, A is also współczynnikiem kierunkowym prostej i tangensem kąta nachylenia.
