I have 12+ years of experience in the field of translations (both EN->PL and PL->EN, as a matter of fact), I have prepared, literally, thousands of translations in that time for both individuals and corporate bodies in Poland and abroad.
Among my clients are both Polish and European/American organizations, corporations, SMEs, NGOs, governmental bodies (in particular Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education, Ministry of Health) as well as natural persons (although I focus on collaboration with companies rather than people).
I have experience in translations in the field of: IT, legal (agreements, licenses etc.), civil engineering, marketing content for publishing (both in Polish and English) and much, much more.
In my professional career I have translated more than 60,000,000 characters / ca. 9,000,000 words to and from English / Polish.
Additionally, I have a BS degree in political sciences (graduated in 2007) + passed FCE/CAE and CPE Cambridge exams (CPE exam passed 11 or 12 years ago); since then I have been translating non-stop, everyday with basically nearly no vacation leave.
In my work (and the work of my agency, which employs 20+ in-house EN-PL-EN linguists) I use SDL Trados Studio 2017 + Groupshare 2015 as the project/TM server; I also use Multiterm, Passolo 2011/2015/2016 on a regular basis with some of my regular clients' projects.
I have extensive experience in both translatingproofreading other linguists' work, much of which are marketing texts, since they are to be published in the near future.
My claim ratio is very low - less than 0.2% of my total work has ever been questioned in any way, and in most cases such claims pertain to minor infractions; never negligence.
I consider myself rather flexible in terms of the conditions on which I work with my clients, therefore I am also open to higher/lower rates depending on the project requirements - I rarely disagree.
My base rate for EN<->PL (both directions) starts at EUR 0.04 per source word, I offer discounts for larger projects and longer turnaround times.
