Can't come Feb 24, 2012

I keep thinking I should attend these events but alas, on this occasion I will be out of London and unable to come. Please take photographs and post them here ! I might be able to suggest a venue if you can say what part of London you prefer.

Can't come Feb 24, 2012

I would have loved to finally get to a powwow, but unfortunately I am acting in a play at my local theatre club that evening.

I've never attended a Powwow before and the date looks cool for me at the moment. I will try my best to be there and finally meet some of you. Thank you Alp for organising this Powwow.

Meeting place and time to be decided by the majority Feb 27, 2012

Hello Everyone,
I was going to let the people who are signed up decide. We can do the time and play you suggested Natalia if that is good for the majority. I want to maximize attendance. If anyone has suggestions for times and a different place, please post your recommendations. The day is pretty much fixed. Thanks!

The King & Queen Feb 27, 2012

Do you think there will be enough space for such a large group of people?

Space of our group at the King & Queen Feb 27, 2012

Hello Oksana,
Since I have never been to the King & Queen, I can't answer this question as far if they will have enough room for us. Someone in London who knows the Pub will need to answer it for me. Based on past Powwow history though, actual turnout may end up being about half of the people who signed out, though there are always exceptions.
Alp

King & Queen Feb 27, 2012

Hi Alp
I hope to make this, although I live some way out of London. I've been to 3 or 4 Powwows at this venue, which is OK - and more importantly central and free (subject to a £1 donation each to the landlord's charity).
Someone will have to book it though.

I'll take care of the booking Feb 28, 2012

Hi Russell,
Thanks for your comments. I'll take care of the booking myself. I'll go ahead and book the King & Queen Pub then for 3 PM on April 7th. If I have any problems booking from the States, I'll let you guys know. I'll also confirm with a posting after booking. I'll do the booking as time permits in the next day or so. I hope this sounds good to everyone
By the way I'll be coming in from Enfield myself from my Brot

By the way I'll be coming in from Enfield myself from my Brother's house, but I thought London would be better since we could get more people.

Gave the King & Queen Pub a ring Mar 2, 2012

I talked with the owner Colin. He told me that the weekend of April 7th is actually a bank holiday in the UK (I didn't know this) and he was unsure if he was going to be open that weekend. He still hasn't made a decision yet, and told me to call him on Monday for a final decision on if they would be open on that Saturday for business. So in other words...stay tuned

Follow-up with the King & Queen Pub Mar 5, 2012

Great news, the Pub will be open on April 7th for the Powwow. The only concern Colin (The Owner) had was maybe a low turnout due to the Bank Holiday that weekend (it is Easter Weekend). I informed him that we already had 42 people that were interested, and we should have a decent turnout based on that interest. So let's not disappoint Colin Please attend if you can.
