Hi,
As explained on the Web page http://www.cpanel.net/docs/cp/, I tried to access the cPanel related to my hosting www.francescobarbuto.com, using both the URLs www.francescobarbuto.com:2082 and www.francescobarbuto.com:2083.

Either way, I could not get through, only receiving from my IE the usual error page that appear when it cannot find a certain Web page.

Could you explain me what is the problem, please.

I need this WebMail feature you can access through cPanel.

Regards,

Francesco

My Proz.com May 1, 2005

Francesco,

Go to
My Proz.com -> My Hosting.

There you should see a box with all the relevant information about your hosting package.
This box contains three direct links at the bottom:
Control panel (cPanel) - Web site - Webmail.

So you actually don't need to access the cPanel directly, but simply click on the Webmail link. (Sorry, I didn't see that before.)

HTH.

Dear Sonja,

When I selct My Proz.com -> My Hosting I do not see any boxes and get directed to the following page:

http://www.proz.com/?sp=host/info

When I select the My Proz.com Menu, the Third Option from Above is My Web Hosting: when I click this option I get directed to the URL given above.

Anyone can tell me what's Wrong?

Thank you Sonja,

Regards,

Francesco

Something Missing, maybe? May 1, 2005

I renewed my subscription to Proz Web Hosting on July 20, 2004 and then I have done nothing more and rarely accessed my Hosting to change something.

Should I had done something I did not do?

What are the user name and password for accessing the cPanel?
The one I use for my Hosting or the one I use to log into Proz main site?.

Jason, Henry, please help out.

Regards,

Franecsco

I get re-routed to the same URL May 1, 2005

... just in my case, this page is customized with my hosting details.

The first thing I see there is the headline "Proz.com Hosting", followed by a box with the title "My Proz.com Hosting account". In this box, I can find the following information:

Domain: my domain
Package: Standard
Username: my username
Mail server: my mailserver
FTP server: my ftp server
[Control panel] [Web site] [Webmail]

When you go to "My Hosting" May 1, 2005

you should see "My ProZ Hosting Account" on the top of the page. Underneath you should see a white rectangle, where your domain, your package, your username, your mail and ftp server are listed. In the lower section of this rectangle is a link to your cPanel - called "Control Panel".

This should bring you to your cPanel - please click here.

Regards
Jerzy

Which brings me to my question:

I have problems logging into my Domain Cpanel - my old password wouldn't work, and when I reset it, I don't get any e-mail with the new password.

Please advise how to get my new password.

And, BTW, where is the link for submitting support requests?
Been looking for it for an hour now...

TIA,

Roald Toskedal

Hi Roald,

There was no contact email set in your hosting control panel so you couldn't receive the new password confirmation message. I have set your control panel contact email to the email address in your ProZ.com profile. Please try to request a new password again and let me know if you continue to have trouble.

The link to submit a support request is found in the upper right of each ProZ.com page (it's the right-most option in the main menu). You can also use this link: http://www.proz.com/support

Best regards,

Jason

Oh, ok, is that the problem? I thought you had my e-mail several times over, but maybe not on that particular server?
Fair enough, if you took my address from my profile, then it's correct, as it hasn't been changed since I went online in 1996...

And, BTW, where is the link for submitting support requests?

Ammm, well, I've been there a 'zillion' times, but there's no link for submitting an e-mail request that I can see...

Anyway, I found it finally - at the bottom of a page linked to from the support page. You might consider giving it a more prominent location.

I thank you very much for this direct answer though!
Highly appreciated!

Best regards,

Roald
