Hello,

Is there a way to select several segments at the same time to copy the source ?

Thanks!

Of course there is. Hold down Ctrl and select the different segments you want to copy and press C, and the content will be in the clipboard

Suggestion Dec 15, 2009

This is how it works for WF Classic: end the translation with Alt + End. Put the cursor in the next sentence which has to be translated and re-open WF with Alt+Down. You can close and re-open WF as much as you like and everywhere you want in the same document.
For WF Pro I don't know.

Copy source on no match Dec 15, 2009

Dear Mohamed,

Apparently, you are speaking about Wordfast Pro. Actually, there is no group selecting. But you can go to Edit (menu) > Preferences > Translation Memory > Check the option: "Copy source on no match".

Whenever you do not have matches in the TM, the source will be automatically copied into the target cell.

A similar option is available in Wordfast Classic, too.

If you have any further questions, please let me know.

Not directly, no, but if you copy a group of segments and paste them into a new file, you can press Alt+Delete, which will remove all the target text and leave you with just the source text.

Thanks! Dec 20, 2009

Hello,

Thank you very much for your suggestions, and for your help.

In the end I did it manually, as there wasn't a fast way to do it. Actually I needed to do that to know what to translate and what not to.

And yes, it was about wordfast Pro.

Thanks again.

MoH

Dear Mohamed,

I do apologize if I did not explain how it works. When you check "Copy source on no match", once you use Alt+Down to move to the next segment, the source text will be copied to the target cell as long as there is no match. I hope it is clear now.
