When proofreading a translation, if I change a segment, can the TM save that change and apply it automatically to the other segments, where appropriate? I use WF Pro 3.1. Thanks.

Proofreading with WFP

Dear Jacek,
When you change a segment, you can store it into a TM by having the TM "Selected" and using Alt+Down or Alt+Q.
However, when you are proofreading a translation, you will NOT be able to retrieve this segment again using Alt+Down as those segments are already "modified".

Dear Jacek,
When you change a segment, you can store it into a TM by having the TM "Selected" and using Alt+Down or Alt+Q.
However, when you are proofreading a translation, you will NOT be able to retrieve this segment again using Alt+Down as those segments are already "modified".
There are two methods for better proofreading:
1- You can go to Edit > Preferences > Translation Memory and check the option: Perform TM Lookup automatically > OK. Now, every time you move to a segment using either Ctrl+Down or the mouse, you will see all its words in the TM Lookup textbox which will be automatically searched. If you like a result, select it and press Ctrl+Alt+M.
2- Alt+Space will force match retrieval. However, how will you know that there is a match in the first place? I suggest that you use the above-mentioned option "Perform TM Lookup automatically" and when you notice that you get what can be called an exact or fuzzy match, use Alt+Space. You can lower the Fuzzy Match Threshold (Edit menu > Preferences > Translation Memory > Fuzzy Match Threshold > 40) to get more matches, if possible.
