Hi All,

I know I can use a remote glossary in WF Pro, but I haven't figured out where to host my remote glossary - I've only seen it in clients' servers

Any help or sugestions, please?

The last time I checked you couldn't link a glossary in WF Anywhere to WF Pro...

Thanks,
José Ruivo

Next Version - WFP 3.2 Mar 6, 2013

Hi Jose,

WFP version 3.2, which will be released next month, will add the ability to access remote glossaries that you host on Wordfast Anywhere. I will update you when the new version is available.

Sincerely,

Kristyna

Excelent news! Mar 7, 2013

Dear Kristina,

I'm very glad to hear that!

In the meantime, should I chose to pursue a diferent option, which services/companies host WF Pro memories/glossaries?

Furthermore, is this something you could possibly do with WF Server?

Thank you,
José B. Ruivo

Sure, see my video on setting up Wordfast Server:

http://wordfast.fi/blog/cat-tools/2013/02/04/how-to-set-up-wordfast-server/

In the video, I focus on setting up TM's to be shared, but you can do the same with glossaries. Just go to the Glossaries tab:

Fantastic! Mar 7, 2013

Excelent video, and news, Dominique! I'l definitelly have to try it!

One thing was not clear to me: that's all you need to do to have your team finding your Wf Server through internet, without being in the same office LAN? No need for complex port setups?

I run a small company with 2 in-house translators, and I'm planning on have 2 more working on a fairly large project coming soon. Krystina, does that qualify me for the demo version...

How do I create a GLO file? That is the file format WFServer expects me to indicate

Thanks,

Can't connect :-( Mar 7, 2013

Hi Dominique, and All,

I've tried setting up WFServer in my machine, and still in my machine connect a WF Pro session to it, and I get an error message saying "Connection refused: connect".

Next I tried connecting from colleague's machine, which equally failed. This time the error message was Timeout

Any ideas on what might be causing this?

TIA,
José B. Ruivo
