I am using Wordfast Classic with Word 2007 in Windows 8.1. Recently, I have started having a problem with editing my glossaries. I can select duplicate entries, press CTRL + X to delete them and the lines are still there but empty (just as should happen), but when I then press CTRL + DEL to permanently delete those deleted entries, instead of disappearing they reappear!
I think this problem started when I last updated Wordfast Classic.

After marking the duplicates, try pressing Ctrl+Z.
I hope this helps.
Kind regards, Yasmin

Isn't Ctrl+Z the universal Windows shortcut for "undo", though?

Yes, it is, but the author of Wordfast Classic is known for thinking "out of the box" and doing as he pleases
This is what you get when pressing F1 while in the Data editor:
These shortcuts are only use in the Data editor. There is no general concept of "hard deleting" in Windows, so why not use the same shortcut as for undoing when you actually want to do something that cannot be undone
