Term used for simplification of an inventory flow settlement. Fixed prices are assumed for the accounting purpose within a specified period of time. Deviations of such prices are then adjusted by actual prices. A deviation represents the difference between the invoice value and the fixed price. Usually at the end of a month the deviations are allocated in proportion to the items both remaining in the inventory and used for production.
