Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

PRO (1): Caryl Swift

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Re. Paulina's comment below. When I was at university, a number of the modules that I took were continually assessed and this was common practise in all the faculties. As a member of a regional examination committee setting exams in Practical English for Teacher Training Colleges here in Poland, I was often involved in discussions about the idea of introducing continuous assessment - and that was precisely the term used by everyone on the committee, including a British Council EFL Teacher Trainer. So, as far as I know, it's a general methodological term which isn't restricted to any particuler level of the educational process. Google also gives thousands of hits - here are a few:

One aspect of continuous assessment is that passing a course/obtaining a final grade depends not on a final result gained via an exam, but on the continuous assessment of work carried out throughout the course. This can include any number of different requirements (attendance, of course being one of them), eg. presentations, research papers, planning and realisation of research projects etc. etc. It gives an assessment system whereby every assessment-based task that the pupil/student does is taken into account when the final grade/pass/fail/result is produced, rather than a system whereby everything hangs on the result of an exam. A course can be completely continually assessed, or can consist of a final grade which is made of a continuous assessment grade plus an exam grade, both of which are given a weighting to provide a final, single grade.

neutral Paulina Liedtke : such term may well be used but i do not see any link with the polish meaning. "praca zaliczeniowa" is an assignment, e.g. a research paper or a presentation, not a holistic approach to evaluation, as "edsnet" gives it.
