1) "Basic" Self Guided Missiles: These missiles are given a target by their parent vessel and then fly towards the target, relentlessly trying to destroy it. "Basic" self guided missiles are the standard missiles used in the Three Galaxies, mostly due to cost.
Bonuses: +3 to strike
Problems: Target can not be changed after launch.
Missile Body Cost Multiplier: 1x
2) Self Guided "Smart" Missiles: These missiles have an advanced targeting computer and some rudimentary AI, even thought they get their initial targeting info from their parent vessel. It is the AI that allows the missile not only to follow its target, but dodge attacks directed towards it and plot least time courses.
Bonuses: +5 to strike, +4 to dodge., 2 attacks per melee
Problems: Cost
Missile Body Cost Multiplier: 1.5x

If self-guided missiles are chosen forthe primary armament of the FCS, anumber of advantages present them-selves. For one, it ought to be possibleto eliminate the turret assembly;
