Jerry, the reason why do don't find Ms. in literature much is that the author typically 'knows' the marital status of his characters. The translator should feel the character just as well, even if he doesn't know for sure what the author meant

Who is "glupia baba"? Glupia baba is most likely an older women and it is no known if she is married or not. GB has nothing at all to do with Great Britain

Mrs Thick (Hag)

Po pierwsze, raczej Mrs a nie Ms, bo Ms jest zbyt nowoczesne i formalne na taką panią. Po drugie, nie koniecznie dwuczłonowe, bo jak wiadomo Baba nie jest łatwo przetłumaczyć. Po trzecie podałem swoją wersję bo nie przekonują mnie Bag ani Wifie. Samo Bag nie od razu kojarzone jest z Babą, tylko Old Bag. A Wifie to żonka, więc też coś nie bardzo. Ale moje Hag też nie idealne, bo dużo bardziej obraźliwe niż Baba. Więc może tylko Mrs Thick....
