Mostly PC Apr 1, 2010

Since I am most comfortable with the larger keyboard and space of the desktop PC. I only use my laptop when I need 2 screens or when travelling, and since I had the the OS reinstalled at Xmas 2008 I can't find half of the accents and question marks etc on it, which slows me down a bit...

with a 22.5 inch screen large enough to have several windows open for comparing texts, and yet it takes up hardly any room on my desk. Snow Leopard with Office for Mac (for Windows).... Wonderful!

MacBook Pro Apr 1, 2010

Just bought this sleek little baby a few weeks ago...all aluminum, Snow Leopard, back-lit keys...just a great little computer.

Some years ago I was using a desktop PC...had many problems with it. Then I switched to a PC laptop which also had the same typical PC problems. Switched to Mac the end of 2007. My former MacBook never had a single problem until I wore the trackpad out. Other than that, it still works just fine.

1 laptop, 2 screens Apr 1, 2010

I'm often away from home when the kids are on holiday and with the laptop, I can work almost anywhere
Having two screens really makes my life easier too...

Mostly 1 desktop; sometimes 1 netbook.

Just 1 monitor; 2 is an excess.

Exclusively desktop Apr 1, 2010

I am addicted to the large screens where I can look at my source and target side-by-side and keep a bunch of other tabs or documents open. I have two all-in-one desktop computers (an iMac and a new Sony Vaio), each with a 22-inch screen. Also, my office has more than 100 hardcopy dictionaries and another 50 style manuals that I can't live without, all within an arm's reach.

One laptop, one 22.5" screen. Apr 1, 2010

I finally got a big beautiful desktop-extending screen for posting source documents and glossaries. It increases my speed so much that I am re-learning how much work I can do in a day. I tell outsourcers a job will take me two days, but suddenly I find it finished in 12 hours or so. Plus, I am no longer overlooking those faint markings on old typed pdfs!

(But still, when I'm on the move, I can unplug the laptop and take it along.)

One Laptop Apr 1, 2010

I had bought a 15 inch screen laptop but it came with a critical hardware problem so I had to change it for a 800 dollars HP with a 14 inch screen and even though it is smaller, It's still very resourceful.

Just love it, I've tried Mac OS X and didn't like because basically it's just a paid version of BSD.
Windows 7 + Trados 2009 suite, really happy with it.

netbook Apr 2, 2010

I am using a netbook with 1,6MHz and 1GB RAM. When I am translating and writing I connect it with external monitor. Works great
