Hello everyone

I have a generic XLIFF file with some programmers' context for some segments. In the screenshot below, the black text is the translatable, but I want the blue text to be visible *somewhere* during translation -- either automatically or on-demand, e.g. when right-clicking somewhere.

visible

Is it relatively simple in Trados to accomplish that?

(The source file is the XLIFF file, so I have full control over how to tag it.)

Thanks
Samuel

2 ways Feb 25

Hi Samuel,
There are two ways to accomplish that as far as I know:

1) Install the DSI Viewer plugin (https://appstore.rws.com/plugin/25 and check the following link on how to use it https://gateway.sdl.com/apex/communityknowledge?articleName=000015171 )

The plugin updates the information dynamically every time you change a segment.

ex1

2) Manually check the Document Structure Information (click on CXT+ in this case) each time you change a segment. However, this can be quite tiresome.

Hope that helps!
