Pacjent znajduje się w pozycji siedzącej, fizjoterapeuta staje za nim i chwyta jedną ręką głowę kości ramiennej, natomiast drugą wykonuje określony ruch kończyną górną. Jest to odwiedzenie w stawie ramiennym do kąta 90 stopni oraz zgięcie w stawie łokciowym do kąta 90 stopni. Następnie rotuje ją na zewnątrz.

Interpretacja

Test służy do diagnozowania niestabilności przedniej w stawie ramiennym. Daje pozytywny wynik, jeśli podczas jego wykonywania dochodzi do powstania bólu w przedniej części barku i napięcia mięśni, co jest z kolei związane dużą obawą przed podwichnięciem.

A positive test result is indicated by pain between 70° and 120° of internal rotation. However, a negative test result doesn't rule out the possibility of subacromial impingement syndrome. Other conditions, such as acromioclavicular arthrosis, superior labral tears, internal impingement, and Bankart lesions, may also cause a positive test result


The patient is examined while sitting, with their shoulder flexed to 90° and their elbow flexed to 90°. The examiner grasps and supports proximal to both, the patient's wrist and elbow, to ensure maximal relaxation, then quickly rotates the patient's arm internally.[4][5] Pain located below the acromioclavicular joint with internal rotation is considered a positive test result.
