Hi,

I just finished another 4000 segments (14,000 words) SDLXLIFF project with CafeTran and verified it in Studio 2011 (as one always should do, IMO). Again no errors.

When I selected all 4000 segments and assigned the status "Translated" to them (I prefer doing this in Studio instead of in CafeTran – just an old habit I cherish), it struck me how slow Studio is on this action. I have to wait almost one... See more

When I selected all 4000 segments and assigned the status "Translated" to them (I prefer doing this in Studio instead of in CafeTran – just an old habit I cherish), it struck me how slow Studio is on this action. I have to wait almost one minute before Studio has touched all segments.

What a joy it is to be able to translate Studio projects in CafeTran, which is fast as lightning.

This Studio project came with a legacy TM with many inconsistencies and wrong terminology. I'm very enthusiastic about CafeTran's feature to perform Find and Replace actions in the TM on the fly. Is this an USP for CafeTran or do other CAT tools provide the same great function?
