This is going to be my first time in the UK, the first Proz conference, the first Powwow... I'm ready to experience this all, so I'll do my best to be there and enjoy your company on Thursday evening!

Dear All, I'm pleased to inform you that Rebekka and I have hired a separate room at the Grape bar in the centre of Edinburgh for some pre-conference warm-up drinks. Having said that, the event is open to ALL ProZians, their guests and other language specialists who happen to be in the area, but may not wish to sign up for the conference. The entry is FREE, but everyone will be expected to pay for their own drinks or snacks. So if you're not planning to attend the conference, you're still more than welcome to join in and benefit from an evening of networking and socialising. The main purpose of the event is to mingle and get to know the crowd rather than a sit-down meal, so we haven't made any specific dinner arrangements. Food ranging from shared platters to sandwiches, burgers, salads and various main courses will be available to order, but you might equally choose to go out for dinner first and join us for drinks later.

Also, you can have your ID verified on this occasion. Registered users may have their identities verified by displaying photo ID to the designated representatives. There will be quite a few of us in attendance who are empowered to verifiy IDs, Rebekka and Enrique, to name just two.
For my side, I do also want to say thank you for both, this powwow and the conference itself. I learned a lot and had much more fun. And beside this I have the feeling to have improved my english ;o))) So thank you very much and see you all in Budapest!! Helena

The amount of hard work, organizing and good will that went into setting up this wonderful conference was tangible and most appreciated. I did have a lot of fun, made great new friends and learned new things. My heartfelt thanks to you both! x

Not only did I learn much more than I dared to hope, I enjoyed myself more than I ever thought possible! Met so many great people and am even more motivated and enthused about my profession than I was before the conference! Kudos to you both for putting on an excellent event!
