What astonished me in the last clip was the contrast between the ethnical origins of the people and the uniformity of their ways of expression. That is what I sensed as culture.
You can find the song text of "Luz de día" with Google and put it into translation tools such as Google Translation Tool or AltaVista for a rough English version. Then you will find out what Enanitos sing about. It is also a thing of culture. I am pretty sure that most Korean, Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai, Burmese, Malayan, Indonesian, Filipino, Taiwanese or Chinese would not sing such songs.
Right, I miss her, too. Hopefully, we don't lose a chance to learn more about Europe and the European, especially about France and the French. A prerequite for being a global citizen is the possession of empathy. Chance does have it.
